In order to view the WinCan sewer videos in Windows Media Player the appropriate codec needs to be installed. Note: Some of the problems seen on various PCs where the video files (.AVI) wouldn’t play were:
Error message in Windows Media Player indicating a codec was missing.
The file opened without errors but the screen was black.
The file opened and the video appeared on the screen, but did not move (like a still photo).
RESOLUTION: Run the “K-Lite Codec Pack 2.65 Full installation from G:\Install\mistools\codecs\klcodec265f.exe and select only the following options for installation:
When the installation program finishes you may see a message that a codec(s) was repaired.
Now open the .AVI file and allow enough time for the file to load, depending on the size of the file and it should then play without errors.
