Background Information for DP1378


DP1378 is a presentation computer used by city council and employees for presentations in the auditorium.  Due to its usage by multiple users, several special policies have had to be implemented to keep the PC running well.  It is recommended that any future replacement PCs adopt these policies to continue running optimally.


Delete Old Profiles


DP1378 is set to delete profiles older than 60 days through local group policy.  The local group policy is located here:  “Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\User Profiles\Delete User Profiles Older Than a Specified Number of Days On System Restart”


DP1378 was replaced with DP1929 in January 2023



Nightly Reboot


DP1378 is set to reboot nightly at 2am through a scheduled task.  See below:
