Election To Do List


One Week Before Election

  1. Ask Clerks for equipment schedule and plan for scan times. 

  2. Election Laptop Antivirus Scan and Flash Drive Scan

    1. Connect laptops in carts in server rooms at least three weeks before elections.

    2. Pre and Post Election Setup - Before you give the laptops to clerks for training, run these procedures in PDQ. 

    3. Check with Clerks to see if Child laptops will be in use. 

      1. Procedure for linking parent/child laptops 

    4. Checklist for Inventory and Procedures:  Thumb Drives and Laptops

      1. Delete all files from thumb drives

      2. Scan them using Windows Defender

Day Before Election

  1. Coordinate with Clerk/Deputy and set up the JamBoard with Margaret’s Election Portal system for election issues. Use the Clerk’s office login and set the pc to never log out while they are using it (see GPO instructions below--#3). 

    1. There is a generic Election Runner gmail account that can be used if a runner doesn’t have a gmail account - Runner RH (rhillsrunner@gmail.com) with login password in Bitwarden.

Election Day

  1. Exclude Jamboard from the GPO that locks computers after 15 minutes

  2. Monitor the Google Sheet for the Election Portal and make sure it is functioning properly.

  3. Stay through the election process and wait for Clerk/Deputy’s permission to leave. 

  4. Get with Leanne to close out Early Voting Machines (6 pm-ish) 

Day After Election

  1. Return Jamboard to the GPO that locks computers after 15 minutes
