Departing Regular City Employee:

In the event of a departing employee with a Google email account, ask the departing employee's director or supervisor if they would like the email account set to forward to another department employee and if an auto-reply is desired.

Forwarding is typically for no more than two weeks unless specifically asked to be extended longer by director/supervisor.

Auto-Reply Example: Mean Jeremy is no longer with the MIS Department. Your email has been forwarded to another member of the MIS staff. You can contact the MIS department directly by calling 248-841-2475 or by email at misfake@rochesterhills.org.

Departing City Council Members:

In the case of a departing City Council member, the Clerk's Department has requested that the auto-reply provide the contact information for the newly-elected Council member who is replacing the departing Council member for one month and that no forwarding be set:

Auto-Reply Example: Mr. Kubicina's term with the City Council has expired. He was replaced by David Blair, who can be reached via email at blaird@rochesterhills.org or by calling 248.841.2647. Or if you prefer, you may contact the Clerk's Office via email at  clerksoffice@rochesterhills.org or by calling 248-656-4630.
