PDF won't open in IE window

Seems that some Windows 7 users are having an issue where when they click on a pdf link, Acrobat will not open.  One way to work around the problem is to tell Acrobat not to open in Internet Explorer.  Go into Acrobat, Edit, Preferences, Internet, and uncheck the Display PDF in Browser option.

We have found a case where we were unable to uncheck that box.  What I think worked was I applied an update to the Acrobat Reader and once I applied the update, and rebooted her computer, the pdf's would open in the default pdf viewer (in her case, Acrobat 7 Pro.)

Another workaround - have the Reader open, then click on the link for the pdf in the browser window.  The pdf did open in the Reader then.
